According to Jennie, the stress of fitting in their Coachella performances in between their BORN PINK world tour was difficult to handle.
I’ve been on tour for almost six months I think already, and the challenge we had to go through was headlining Coachella in between our tour.

BLACKPINK became the first K-Pop group to headline Coachella, a famous music festival which they previously attended in 2019. This year, they were the main acts on both the April 15 and April 22 dates.

Unseen in front of the public, it was actually a difficult time for the members. Jennie admitted that they were pressured by time to rehearse for the festival in between their already jampacked schedule. They recently finished visiting countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Taiwan, and the Philippines with back-to-back shows in March before they had to head to California, USA, for Coachella.

While their BORN PINK concerts followed roughly the same setlist, script, and more, the girls changed things up for the music festival and thus needed to dedicate extra time and energy to learning what to do.
For instance, BLACKPINK added a chair dance break to “Pretty Savage.”
