BLACKPINK‘s Jisoo recently released the fourth episode of her solo debut vlog series. This time around, she showed fans the very beginning of her choreography learning sessions.

She worked hard with YGX‘s dancers to perfect the dance for her title track “Flower.”

Sadly, she also opened up about feeling down throughout the dance practice. She noted that it was “lonely” and “tough” to do things on one’s own.

Going solo is a lonely and tough battle.

Despite being around friends—the dancers—she missed Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa particularly hard that day.

I miss BLACKPINK.

On top of learning the dance on her own, Jisoo was also feeling sick. She wore a face mask while rehearsing since she suddenly felt ill with a cold.

Today is our first group practice. I have a slight cold right now so I’m wearing a mask while practicing.

What brought her comfort was the BORN PINK cap merchandise that she wore to the dance studio. It reminded her that she’s a part of BLACKPINK even when she was the only member in the room.

BLACKPINK spends a great deal of time with each other and considers the others their sisters. With this in mind, it’s no wonder Jisoo was feeling extra sad without them.

This is not the first time a BLACKPINK member felt the same while going solo. Lisa, for instance, said that she felt a clear difference performing solo versus in a group.

[I was] nervous. Very nervous [to go solo]. Normally when the four of us are together—let’s say [Rosé] gives her 100 percent. Then the rest of us can feel it onstage. And unconsciously, I also get this energy of ‘Shoot, I need to do more too.’ We boost each other in that way. But if I stand alone, it’s different. I can’t take energy from anybody. It just has to come from me. And the fans just watch only me. It was a huge burden.

Though BLACKPINK can’t help but find it isolated when going solo, they all slayed their individual performances.
