In France, there have been a wave of protests against the government since the start of the year. The strikes and protests began in January and were organized to oppose the 2023 French pension reform bill proposed by the Borne government.

The bill would mean that rather than people being allowed to retire at the age of 62, this increased to 64.

On March 23, a sign from one of the protests went viral as V made an unexpected appearance. The banner had a small photo of V with his name and a love heart written in red.

The text itself was translated as, “If we wanted to get f**ked we would have elected Kim Taehyung.”

The meaning of the text might seem negative, but it was the opposite as the banner explained that rather than negatively being “f**ked” over (to be taken advantage of) by the government, they would rather be “f**ked” by V, in the context of having sex with the idol.

After the sign was shared online, netizens couldn’t get over the global influence of BTS and how V made a cameo in the protests in the most creative way.

It isn’t the only time BTS has been associated with the protests. A viral video about what is going on in France gained attention on TikTok, and netizens noticed that the BGM used was actually Jimin’s new song “Set Me Free Pt. 2.”
