While talking about his title track, “Haegeum,” Suga revealed some of the major difficulties he faced while filming its music video. ARMYs had already figured out that the picturesque location of the music video was in Thailand, which Suga confirmed during this livestream.

He also added that initially, he had planned to shoot the video in Korea. But it was difficult to scout new locations that viewers had not already seen in other K-Pop music videos. However, there was one suitable location that he had his eyes on, but before he could finalize it, his HYBE junior, LE SSERAFIM, already reserved it for one of their music videos. So, Suga decided to film the music video in Thailand in a new setting.

the background is Thailand! we were looking for locations to film in korea before but there’s not a lot of locations left in korea that haven’t appeared in other idols’ mv, the place we’d thought of got used by Le Sserafim so we thought of other places & went for this location

But shooting in a foreign country proved quite tricky for the rapper. He admitted that his stamina couldn’t always keep up with the hot climate. He mentioned that the opening scene of the music video, where Agust D stabs a man with chopsticks, was tough because it was hot, and they had to shoot without air conditioning.

this scene was really hard. it was over 30 (celsius) and really hot with no ac and my stamina wasnt keeping up.
