Yunjin was born in Korea and moved to the United States when she was just under a year old. The LE SSERAFIM member explained that her family moved a lot when she was younger. While in the U.S., she lived in California and Chicago but spent most of her time in New York.
In 2018, she moved to Korea to train under Pledis Entertainment, representing the company as a trainee on the idol survival show Produce 48. She signed a contract with Source Music in 2021 and debuted in their newest girl group, LE SSERAFIM, the following year.

Sakura hilariously shared that one common Korean greeting confused her when she first moved from Japan.
Sakura grew up in Japan, promoting as a J-Pop idol in HKT48 and AKB48 before competing on Produce 48 in 2018, along with fellow AKB48 members. As a result, she debuted in IZ*ONE, promoting in Korea and Japan.
After concluding IZ*ONE activities, she returned to Korea in 2021 and debuted with LE SSERAFIM a year later.

After moving to Korea, Sakura shared that she didn’t understand why everyone wanted to know if she ate.
In Korean culture, asking, “Did you eat?” is comparable to asking, “How are you?” which Sakura didn’t initially understand.

Sakura hilariously wondered if there was an obligation to eat with the person if she answered that she hadn’t eaten. Because of this, she always answered that she had eaten.

Now she understands the question’s meaning within the context of Korean culture, but it’s not something she’ll easily forget.
