Since GOT7‘s BamBam is his group’s maknae (youngest member), TXT‘s Yeonjun appeared as a guest on Bam’s House and shed light on the struggles of the group’s oldest member.

Yeonjun

When the two idols were chatting, BamBam quickly came to a realization about Yeonjun. He noticed that the younger idol had an extremely serious aura. Though they laughed about Yeonjun’s enjoyment of “serious talk,” it turned out to be part of a larger picture.

From their interaction, BamBam realized how younger members might feel when speaking to an older member who’s so serious. On the flip side, he also understood that it’s “hard to talk about concerns” for older members. Yeonjun agreed and explained why.

Even though Yeonjun isn’t TXT’s leader, he still has a responsibility as the oldest member to set a good example. The responsibility weighed so heavily on the idol that he often couldn’t speak freely about his struggles to the members.

Because of the responsibility of being a big brother. I can’t talk about myself comfortably. It doesn’t matter how the members feel.

In fact, there were times he couldn’t speak up at all.

Yeonjun: It’s because I’m the big brother. So there are times when I can’t talk.

BamBam: Like, ‘I have to do well so the younger members can follow me.’

Yeonjun: That’s right.

So BamBam helped out his junior by sending a message to TXT, gently encouraging them to give Yeonjun a bit more breathing room to be open.

Let Yeonjun… Make Yeonjun feel comfortable a little more. Let’s work hard together.
