Considering his role in choosing the members and the show, many were curious about why Yang Hyun Suk played a much bigger role with BABYMONSTER than other girl groups like 2NE1 and BLACKPINK.

He revealed that the previous groups debuted at a much older age, and he saw BABYMONSTER like his daughters (as his own daughter is 13 years old) rather than just junior artists.

For many fans, the debut of BABYMONSTER fell flat with it being postponed, then Ahyeon’s absence, along with what many called a disappointing first single. Hopefully, YG’s plans show some commitment to the group and a much brighter 2024.
